I want to wish a Happy Birthday to Ayukawa Madoka, the main character of Kimagure Orange Road, and the shiny apple of my eye for many years. I was truly honored to spend a weekend serving as her creator’s (Matsumoto Izumi) assistant and interpreter. I walked away with two amazing sketches and a significant amount of further insight into her character. Manga!Madoka would be 43, Anime!Madoka would be 41.
